The St George Illawarra Dragons will be on hand at a National Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Children’s Day event at UOW Early Childhood Discover Space on Monday.

Children’s Day is a time to for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander families to celebrate the strengths and culture of their children.

The day is an opportunity for all Australians to show their support for Aboriginal children, as well as learn about the crucial impact that culture, family and community play in the life of every Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander child.

The theme for Children’s Day 2016 is: My Country, Our Country – We All Belong.

This year Children’s Day is all about helping our kids feel connected and proud in culture.

In addition Dragons staff will have another very busy and exciting game day with Junior League games as well as the hotly contested St George Junior League relay taking place.

Acknowledgement of Country
