The St George Illawarra Dragons and Hannah Southwell have mutually agreed to release her from the remainder of her NRLW playing contract.
The decision follows discussions between Southwell and the club, with both parties agreeing to the release.
After nine games for the Red V in 2025, Southwell played all 11 games for the Dragons in 2026, celebrating her 50th game against the Wests Tigers in Round 6 and bringing her NRLW tally to 55.
Dragons Director of Female Football Sammy Bremner thanked Southwell for her contribution across two stints at the club.
“Hannah has been part of some important moments in the history of our NRLW program, including as a member of our foundation squad,” Bremner said.
“She has always brought valuable experience and a competitive spirit to the group, and we appreciate the contribution she has made to the Red V.
“We thank Hannah for her time at the Dragons and wish her and her family all the very best for the future.”
