St George Illawarra Dragons duo Zac Lomax and Reece Robson have both been named in the Australian Schoolboys team for 2016.
Lomax, a Illawarra Steelers Junior Representative, and Robson, National Youth Competition team hooker, were previously part of the NSW U18 State of Origin squad and are part of a 17-man team to play a England Academy in a two-Test series later this month.
The team, which was named following the Australian Secondary Schools Under-18 National Championships in Wynnum, will play England Academy on July 31 and August 6.
NRL General Manager League Integration and Game Development Andrew Hill said the ASSRL was an important breeding ground for the game.
“Just 12 months ago Nathan Cleary and Curtis Scott were selected in the Australian Schoolboys side and have now played first grade,” said Hill.
“We look forward to the next batch of outstanding talent continuing to emerge through our pathways.”
