The St George Illawarra Dragons Junior Representative teams will compete against each other in an internal pre-season derby at WIN Stadium, Wollongong on Saturday.

The St George Dragons and Illawarra Steelers will compete against one another in both the SG Ball (U18) and Harold Matthews (U16) age-levels with bragging rights and spots in all four squads up for grabs.

All four squads trained throughout the holiday period and enter the encounter with a few solid weeks of pre-season training under their belt.

“Having that little more time will definitely help,” said SG Ball Head Coach Shane Millard.

“The players know each other a bit more but even though it’s a trial of course we want bragging rights,”

The Harold Matthews will kick off at 4:00pm and the SG Ball will follow at 5:45pm.
