St George Illawarra Dragons National Youth Competition team centre Euan Aitken is extremely honoured to have been named in the Junior Kangaroos line-up against New Zealand at Mt Smart Stadium, Auckland on Saturday.

The Dragons NYC 'Player of the Year' Award recipient is looking forward to testing himself on the international arena and is excited to be representing his country.

Aitken will be joined by teammates Drew Hutchison and Jack Bird in the 18-man squad named by Head Coach Kelly Egan.

"It is a dream come true to have been selected into this team as every player dreams of playing for his country," said Aitken.

"The entire squad is a talented bunch with a lot of NRL experience within the side and it will be good to be playing alongside them instead of against them.

"I am focused for the week ahead and hope to be able to contribute to the overall philosophy that is being built here.

"We are expecting New Zealand to be big and tough and fired-up playing at home in front of their supporters but it is all part of the experience being selected."
