Southwell returns to the Red V having been a part of the Dragons’ and the NRLW’s inaugural 2018 season as a 19-year-old.
Southwell also spent time playing for the Jets in the W-League where she became the youngest goalkeeper in the competition’s history before spending time with Australia’s Rugby Sevens program.
She re-joins the club now as a 26-year-old with a resumé consisting of 35 NRLW matches across stints at the Dragons, Roosters, and Knights including three Grand Final appearances with premierships at both the Roosters in 2022 and Knights in 2023.
A Kotara Bears junior, Southwell has represented NSW on five occasions having notched three series wins.
Off the field, she works with the Dragons Community Team part-time and is under contract until at least the end of the 2026 season.
