Dragons drop off donation at Wollongong Hospital

The Dragons last week dropped in to Wollongong Hospital to pay a visit to patients and present a $5,000 cheque.

The $5,000 donation – which was made up of proceeds from the club's Charity Shield clash earlier in the year – will go toward the purchase of a portable bladder scanner that will enhance care for paediatric patients in at the hospital.

Lyhkan King-Togia, Michael Molo, Keele Browne and Hannah Southwell were on hand alongside the Dragons Community Team and stopped by the Children's Ward and the Wollongong Cancer Care Centre.

The players handed out signed caps as well as pencil cases, blankets, and posters whilst chatting with patients and their families.

"It's so good for us to be able to get out and visit everyone here at Wollongong Hospital," Southwell said.

"Being back at the club, it's really rewarding to get the opportunity to be out in the community and meet so many good people. Today was a good day and knowing that our donation can help make a difference in people's lives is really special."
