The St George Illawarra Dragons were 32-10 winners over the Parramatta Eels at Pirtek Stadium, Parramatta on Monday.
The Young Dragons notched six tries in the victory with doubles to both Matt Dufty and Jai Field.
Head Coach Mat Head had opted to standby the line-up announced midweek and was rewarded for his faith with four unanswered tries prior to the halfhour mark.
Dragons five-eighth Jai Field instigated the first attack when he threw a long cut-out pass to winger Paora Kemp, who fended off two defenders to score in the corner in the 13th minute.
Field then added the two points from the sideline to make it 6-0.
The visitors added to their lead three minutes later when fullback Matt Dufty went through the line untouched to extend the Dragons lead to 10-0.
This was followed up by halfback Jack Payne etching his name on to the scoresheet before Dufty banked his second of the encounter prior to the halfhour mark.
Field converted both attempts and made it 22-0.
The Eels though hit back just before the break with prop Jamie Stowers backing his way over the line for the home sides first try of the game.
Eels five-eighth Michael Doolan converted to make it 22-6.
The hosts took advantage of the one man advantage after Dufty was sinbinned, with winger Jermaine Mati-Leifi scoring in the left corner on the hourmark.
Yet, upon Dufty's return, centre Patrick Herbert burrowed his way over for the visitors' first try of the stanza.
Field later showed his blistering speed on his second try of the game, picking up a dropped ball to run 90 metres to score under the posts.
Kemp converted the try from in front to give the Dragons a 32-10 lead.
