Emre Guler to leave Dragons at season’s end

The St George Illawarra Dragons can confirm that Emre Guler will depart the club at the conclusion of the 2026 NRL season.

A Mascot Jets junior, Guler joined the Dragons in 2025 having spent the previous seven seasons in the nation’s capital.

He has made 29 appearances for the club since making the move including all 12 of the side’s outings this year.

In 2025, Guler became the first player of Turkish descent to appear in the annual Dragons vs. Roosters Anzac Day fixture.

“Emre has been a highly respected teammate since joining the club at the start of last season,” CEO Tim Watsford said.

“His professionalism has shone through every step of the way, and he has represented our club admirably. We wish Emre and his family all the very best as he prepares for his next chapter.”
