DRAGONS LOOKING TO RETAIN MONTY PORTER CUP

The Red V will be looking to retain the Monty Porter Cup which they took home in Round 23 last year at Jubilee.

Porter played for the St George Dragons from 1958 to 1965 helping lead the club to six premierships before becoming Cronulla's inaugural captain in 1967.

He would go on to become a key administrator for the Sharks and NSWRFL before passing away in 2011 at age 76.

ATKINSON READY FOR CHALLENGE

Dragons half Daniel Atkinson will face off against his old club Cronulla for the first time since making the move over the summer.

Atkinson made 36 appearances for the Sharks over the course of three seasons and has grown into a mainstay of the Dragons' spine in 2026.

Atkinson: “We’re thinking about how we can get better”

FLEGG SQUAD IN ACTION

Fans will have the opportunity to catch Aaron Gorrell's ladder-leading Jersey Flegg outfit in action for the first time in the lead-up to a Dragons NRL match this season.

The squad are currently riding a seven-game winning streak and sit ahead of the red-hot Panthers on for-and-against.

Cronulla meanwhile have notched six wins from their nine outings and find themselves sitting at sixth on the competition ladder.
