St George Illawarra Dragons lock Tyson Frizell will undergo scans to his right ankle to help determine the nature and extent of his injury.
The Wales Dragons international suffered a high-ankle sprain injury early on in the fixture against the Penrith Panthers at Sportingbet Stadium, Penrith on Saturday.
“Tyson’s foot got caught under him while carrying the ball early on in the game and he has had a twisting injury to it,” said Dragons Performance Director Andrew Gray.
“At this stage we believe it is a syndesmosis or high-ankle sprain and he is presently in a moon boot with crutches assisting his movement while he rests.”
