A proud Ngāti Whakauae and Te Arawa Māori woman, Tapsell grew up Devonport – a harbourside suburb of Auckland – and has represented the Black Ferns internationally whilst proving a mainstay in the Super Rugby Aupiki competition.
Her Black Ferns debut came in 2019 – where she was in the running for a Rookie of the Year nod – and she has since gone on to make six appearances for her nation.
Despite spending the 2024 NRLW season with the Sharks, Tapsell will be in search of an NRLW debut this season with the Red V.
The 26-year-old is under contract with the Dragons until at least the end of the 2025 season.
