Lawson joined the Dragons on a development deal in 2025 having made a name for himself as one of the nation's premier rugby sevens stars and this year moves into the Top 30.
A Sutherland Shire native, Lawson represented Australia at the 2020 Tokyo Olympics and 2024 Paris Olympics as well as the 2022 Rugby World Cup Sevens in Cape Town and 2022 Commonwealth Games in Birmingham; all up, the 27-year-old appeared in 25 tournaments for the Australian Sevens team tallying 69 tries.
His NRL debut came in Round 13 last year in a win over Newcastle at Jubilee Stadium before he nabbed his maiden four-pointer in the side’s Round 17 win over Parramatta.
