Dragons donate to Winter Appeal at St George Hospital

The St George Illawarra Dragons today dropped off a $5,000 cheque to help support St George Hospital's Winter Appeal.

Loko Jnr Pasifiki Tonga was joined by NRLW stars Ella Koster and Montaya Hudson and the Dragons Community Team to help present the cheque, take a tour of the new Kensington Street Building, and mingle with patients and staff.

This year, the Winter Appeal is dedicated to raising vital funds for the St George Hospital Pelvic Floor Unit helping patients regain their dignity, independence, and quality of life after life-changing medical events.

Donations will help provide essential equipment, treatment, and care for patients during some of their most vulnerable moments.

Koster says the time the group spent at the facility reinforced her desire to be involved in initiatives such as St George Hospital's Winter Appeal.

“We’re very appreciative of the staff here at St George Hospital showing us around the Pelvic Floor Unit and giving us some insight into how everything works,” Koster said.

“The Winter Appeal is such an important fundraiser for the hospital and we really encourage everybody to get behind it.”
