St George Illawarra Dragons Director of Rugby League Pathways Ian Millward provides an update on recent recruitment topics concerning the Club.

Millward shares insight into the reasoning behind the recruitment of both second-rower Tariq Sims, who joined the Red-and-Whites from the Newcastle Knights midway through the campaign, and winger Nene Macdonald, who will join the Club from the Gold Coast Titans in November.

Furthermore, Millward addresses who may take over the role as halfback in the team for next season.

The Dragons have additionally signed to date prop Josh Kerr from the Melbourne Storm for next season as well as re-signing five-time Indigenous All-Star Joel Thompson for a further two years.

Moreover, the Dragons have retained the services of a number of local juniors including Matt Dufty (Penshurst RSL), Hame Sele (Kingsgrove Colts), Reuben Garrick (Gerringong Lions) and National Youth Competition team captain Patrick Herbert as well as a large number of players from their respective Junior Representative teams (St George Dragons and Illawarra Steelers).
