The St George Illawarra Dragons boast several quality forwards and one of the most star-studded playmaking spines in the business.

Fantasy Guns

Josh Dugan: Dugan's tackle-busting running game and his role as a fullback/centre makes him a very strong NRL Fantasy player. His 48 points a game last season was six points a game better than the next best centre, and ranked him fourth among winger/fullbacks behind the league's best metre-eater (Roger Tuivasa-Sheck), tackle buster (James Tedesco) and try-scorer (Semi Radradra). You'll want him in your team at some stage this season.

Mike Cooper: The Englishman has snuck up on NRL fans in the past two years, becoming one of the game's best forwards last season – as well as the Dragons' best Fantasy scorer. Cooper's best asset is his defensive game – he makes a lot of tackles and doesn't miss many. With workhorse lock Trent Merrin now having left the club, Cooper could get through even more defensive work in 2015.

Value Buys

Leeson Ah Mau: One of the big improvers in the Dragons pack last season who could get more responsibility this season following the exit of Trent Merrin. Ah Mau's game time actually started to lift at the end of 2015. The increased game time led to increased scores: his season average was just under 40, but he averaged more than 50 over the final five rounds of the regular season.

Tim Lafai: Back in 2014, Lafai was one of the Bulldogs' success stories, with a strong running game helping him to 44 points per week. Last year was another story, with the centre scoring more than 40 points just once all year and finishing with an average of 27 from 18 games. Now having joined the Dragons and starting the Fantasy season with a price of $244,000, Lafai looms as a cut-price scorer in the centres who has the potential to get some nice price rises if he can regain his old touch.
