St George Illawarra Dragons trio Jason Nightingale, Tyson Frizell and Yaw Kiti Glymin proudly completed their Certificate IV in Small Business at Rugby League Central on Tuesday.
The Dragons trio were joined by former teammates Justin Hunt and Heath L’Estrange in receiving the honours for their dedication to the program run by the Elite Athlete Business School.
A total of 17 players undertook the course, which spanned 15 sessions, and included each individual developing and presenting a business plan as part of an overall arching assignment and undertaking a networking event with Mark Bouris.
“It is an amazing feeling to have graduated alongside so many of my mates,” said Nightingale.
“It is really important for all players to plan for life after rugby league as you never know when that day might occur but Elite Athlete Business School has helped us gain some focus on areas we would like to explore when that day eventually arrives.
“The course itself was held weekly at Rugby League Central and in a relaxed environment provided all the players a chance to focus on their own goals and be mentored by some of the industry’s best.
“Fortunately everyone graduated and hopefully this puts us all in good stead for the future.”
