The St George Illawarra Dragons have agreed to release Josh Kerr from the final year of his contract.
“Josh approached the club seeking an opportunity to secure a longer-term deal elsewhere, and we agreed to this request,” Dragons CEO Tim Watsford said.
“Josh has been a terrific clubman and a highly respected teammate throughout his two spells at the Dragons.
“We wish Josh and his family all the very best for the next chapter.”
Kerr returned to the Red V in 2026 following two-and-a-half seasons with the Dolphins.
A Redcliffe junior, Kerr made his NRL debut for the Dragons in Round 2, 2019 against South Sydney at Jubilee Stadium and went on to make 87 appearances for the club across his two stints.
A proud Quandamooka man, Kerr also made his Indigenous All Stars debut in 2019 and has represented the side on seven occasions.
