De Belin: Attacking Options Crucial
By Mary Maidiotis
St George Illawarra Dragons prop Jack de Belin believes their needs to be an improvement in attack ahead of the fixture against the Newcastle Knights at Jubilee Oval, Kogarah on Sunday.
De Belin, 24, recently returned from a stint on the sidelines and admits that although he has been pulling up sore, he is happy to be back out on the field.

The Cootamundra Bulldogs junior was disappointed to not pick up the two points against the Melbourne Storm in New Zealand last weekend and put the loss down to execution of sets which he hopes can be turned around this weekend.
“It was a difficult game against the Storm - a road-trip to New Zealand, it was good to get away and get amongst the boys but we didn’t get the result we wanted,” said de Belin.
“It came down to our execution, we just didn’t execute our sets the way we should have and there was a lot of intent early on in our defence.
“We’ve got plenty to build on and we’ve just got to start clicking.
“I’ve been pulling up pretty sore, when you’re not used to playing week-in, week-out, you forget how quickly you lose your fitness and it takes a while for your body to get used to taking hits but it’s great to be back out there.
“Watching from the sidelines is not good at all, I watched the first one from my hospital bed so it wasn’t good watching, especially when you’re not actually injured, you’ve got an infection that just puts you back.
“When I first got injured, I was hoping to get into the hospital and get on the drip with antibiotics so I could get it all drained and then I had to get those operations out of the way and get back into rehab to make recovery as quick as possible.
“I can’t wait to play at Kogarah this weekend, playing at both our home grounds is unreal and the boys will be especially keen to get out there and hopefully end this losing streak.
“We’ve just got to work on a bit of our attack, build pressure and get a few more repeat sets as well as executing our plays better and hopefully more points will come from that.”
