The St George Illawarra Dragons hit the roads to proudly support the tenth annual Camp Quality Convoy which took place across the Illawarra on Sunday.

Dragons duo Trent Merrin and Dan Hunt were joined by a contingent of players from the National Youth Competition team to help raise funds for the initiative aimed at brightening the lives of children living with cancer and their families.

Both first-grade players were amongst over 850 trucks and 1,000 motorbikes which took to the roads and streets under police escort from the Illawarra Coal’s West Cliff Colliery through to Albion Park Rail.

The Young Dragons were on hand to meet and greet participants and assist them in enjoying the free Family Fun Day arranged at the football fields of the Croome Road Sporting Complex.

The Fun Day included lots of great entertainment from artists including Guy Sebastian as well as stalls, rides and activities.

"The Camp Quality Convoy, which is supported by i98FM Radio, is a great day out for everyone throughout the Illawarra area," said Merrin.

"I have personally been involved for several years now and it blows my mind seeing how many vehicles get in on the action to raise funds for such a special cause."
