St George Illawarra Dragons centre Gerard Beale is buoyed to have been named in the New Zealand train-on squad ahead of the Four Nations Tournament.

The New Zealand international, capped six time for his country, notes it is always an priviledge to be named in any squad associated with Kiwis and hopes to be selected in the finalised team list when announced.

Beale, alongside fellow Dragon Jason Nightingale, is part of a 27-man initial squad named by Head Coach Stephen Kearney.

Players will be added to the squad as teams are eliminated from the NRL Finals series and a final 24-man squad announced on Tuesday, October 7.
