The St George Illawarra Dragons would like to thank all the Red V Members who welcomed the team to Brisbane on Thursday.
The Red-and-Whites were welcomed by over 100 Red V Members who were on hand to greet the players to great applause at the Sofitel Brisbane.
The Dragons are proud to have such a strong following of Red V Members north of the state border and all the players were appreciative of the fanfare.
“All the players appreciated being welcomed with such enthusiasm by all the Red V Members who took the time out of their busy schedules to attend the function,” said Dragons captain Ben Creagh.
“All the players know that some Red V Members in particular travelled great distances to attend and their support and dedication does not go unappreciated.”
Red V Members in attendance were addressed by Ambassador Wendell Sailor, who interviewed Benji Marshall, Gerard Beale and Josh Dugan as well as Head Coach Paul McGregor.
Furthermore, Red V Members Patrick Moroney, Peter Moritz and Cory Bumstead all won some unique Club merchandise after being drawn from a lucky door prize.
The Dragons players ended the function by chatting, signing autographs and having their photograph taken with all Red V Members in attendance.
The Dragons would like to thank all those who attended and for their ongoing support of the Club.
