St George Illawarra Dragons Head Coach Paul McGregor has named his first line-up for the fixture against the South Sydney Rabbitohs at ANZ Stadium, Olympic Park on Monday.

McGregor has named a 19-man squad for the clash which includes winger Jason Nightingale, who failed a late fitness test last round, and potential first-grade debutant hooker Shane Pumipi.

Furthermore, representative duo Trent Merrin and Brett Morris have additionally been named but will be assessed following their State of Origin commitments with the NSW Blues.

“The team has trained hard and know what is expected of them against the Rabbitohs this week,” said McGregor.

“The boys are going to work hard and if everyone is on the same page then it will be easier for us to try and get the results.

They have responded well with their first training session of the week and they have several more before they take to the field against the Rabbitohs.
