The St George Illawarra Dragons have proudly been involved in supporting the annual Shaun Timmins Shield and Country Cups throughout the Illawarra region this week.

Over the past three days 22 high schools from Northern Illawarra, Southern Illawarra and Shoalhaven have competed in the Under 13s Shaun Timmins Shield and Country Cup (CC), Under15s CC and Opens CC.

Additionally, Batemans Bay HS, Moruya HS, Narooma HS and Carroll College Broulee will compete next week in in Batemans Bay.

At its completion, over 60 schools incorporating over 1,000 players will have taken part in the annual event.

The winners from all four areas will compete in a finals day on May 6 at Rugby Park Nowra, with all winners from this day continuing on to represent Greater Southern NSW.

Shaun Timmins was on hand at the Northern and Southern Illawarra gala days.
