Tori Shipton, Tahlia O’Brien, and Skye Spencer have all been selected in this year’s Under 19s NSW Under 19s Women’s State of Origin squad.
A Thirroul and Collegians junior, Shipton has progressed through the club’s pathways system with Illawarra and last year was rewarded with selection in the NSW Under 19s Country squad and the Under 19s Women’s State of Origin team.
Her NRLW debut came in the club’s Round 6 Local Derby clash with the Sharks and she went on make six topflight appearances.
O’Brien played her junior football with the Western Suburbs Red Devils and came through the system alongside Shipton representing Under 19s Country and being a part of NSW’s Under 19s Origin squad in 2025.
She made her NRLW debut in the same match as Shipton and would go on to make three appearances for the Dragons.
Spencer meanwhile is a product of the Corrimal Cougars and in March signed an NRLW contract with the club which will see the Australian Schoolgirls representative become the first player in club history to progress through the pipeline from Lisa Fiaola Cup, Tarsha Gale Cup, and the Dragons NRLW Academy into the NRLW.
The Blues will host Queensland on Thursday, June 18th at North Sydney Oval with the match broadcast on Nine, 9Now, Kayo and Foxtel.
