Madi Mulhall and Trinity Tauaneai have inked multi-year extensions with the Dragons as the club’s NRLW squad continues to come together.
Both are now locked in until at least the end of the 2028 season.
Mulhall last year received the Dragons Medal for NRLW Player of the Year having appeared in all 11 of the side’s outings – earning Player of the Match nods in three of them – and averaged 95 run metres to go along with 276 total tackles at near 93 per cent efficiency.
The 21-year-old came through the system with St George skippering their Tarsha Gale Cup unit in 2023 before making her NRLW debut that same year in the side’s Round 7 win over the Cowboys.
“I have a lot of faith in the path we are on as a club,” Mulhall said.

“Everyone here is aligned, motivated, and focused on pushing this club back to where it belongs. I have a lot of love for this club and I’m looking forward to getting back out there on the field with everyone in a few months. I want to continue improving on and off the field and I know I can do that with the people we have here at the Dragons.”
Tauaneai meanwhile was named the club’s NRLW Emerging Talent in 2025 having made nine appearances as a rookie averaging 71 run metres and making 166 tackles.
A Wainuiomata Lions junior, Tauaneai moved across the ditch in 2023 to pursue her rugby league dream earning an Australian Schoolgirls nod the following year whilst at Bass Hill High before starting at lock in Illawarra’s Harvey Norman NSW Women’s Premiership Grand Final win.
“It’s a blessing to have the opportunity to extend my contract here at the Dragons,” Tauaneai said.
“This club took a chance on me when I was a 16-year-old girl still fresh out of New Zealand and I’m very happy to repay the faith. We are building the right way and I’m excited to be a part of this journey we are on. I’m really eager to get back into preseason and put in the work with my teammates.”

Head Coach Nathan Cross was full of praise for the young duo noting their work ethic, leadership potential, and continued development.
“I can’t speak highly enough of Madi and Trin,” Cross said.
“They are two highly valued members of our club and we’re very excited to know they’ll be here moving forward. We’re confident they’ll continue to play a big role for us moving forward both on and off the field. They are exceptionally talented and have so many of the off-field qualities that we look for.
“Madi was our Player of the Year in 2025. She was phenomenal for us and grew into one of the key voices in the locker-room. She trains hard and she’s really focused on improving herself as a player. She’s come through our pathways system with St George, and you can see the pride she plays with every time she takes the field.
“Trin as well is such a talented athlete; her combination of power, skill, and smarts is pretty special. She’s still just a teenager but her energy on and off the paddock add so much to our team. There is no ceiling on the player and leader she can become for this club.”
