NRL stars show out as Best You Can Be Blitz rolls on

A host of the club's NRL stars stopped by a collection of schools in the St George and Illawarra regions as a part of our Best You Can Be Blitz.

27 players visited 17 schools across the club's catchment as a part of one of the biggest days on the Dragons Community calendar.

Players visited Peakhurst West, Beverly Hills, Kingsgrove, Bexley North, Mater Dei Blakehurst, St Gabriel Bexley, Connells Point, St. Thomas More Brighton-Le-Sands, Peakhurst South, Carlton South and St Francis Xavier's Arncliffe in the St George area and Stanwell Park, Woonona East, Woonona, Russell Vale, Corrimal East and Bellambi in the Illawarra.

The club's Best You Can Be program is now in its 11th year and has helped thousands of local students make positive decisions around health and wellbeing.

The workshops include advice on staying active, learning how to practice tolerance, respect, and inclusiveness, the importance of good sleep, screen time management, hydration and nutrition as well as the important role we play in taking care of the environment.

“We love getting the opportunity to come out to the schools within our catchment. The kids are always great and are really responsive to the messages we are passing onto them. We have a big year ahead, so it’s exciting to get into it.”

The students get a chance to meet the players, discuss important health and wellbeing topics, participate in a variety of mini-games and get autographs.
