Dragons partner with batyr for 50-50 Charity Raffle

The Dragons are proud to partner with batyr for this Friday night's 50-50 Charity Raffle at Jubilee Stadium.

batyr is an organisation that opens up the mental health conversation, shares real stories of overcoming tough times and supports young people and their communities.

They are leaders in prevention and stigma reduction sharing lived experience
stories to encourage peer education on mental health.

Often, we keep our loneliest, most challenging times hidden from those we trust. Why? The short answer is stigma.

From here, batyr grew to an organisation that opens up the mental health conversation, shares real stories of overcoming tough times and supports young people and their communities to live mentally healthy and fulfilling lives.

batyr exists to empower young people with the confidence and skills to get through tough times and look out for each other.

They work to create stigma-free communities that champion young people's mental health and wellbeing.

The principal activities of the organisation were the organisation, design, planning and implementation of programs designed to create behavioural change in young people around their understanding and acceptance of mental health and social issues.

The aim of these projects is to reduce the prevalence, risks and impact of mental illness and to increase the capacity of young people to respond appropriately, with the right level of support, to address these issues.

2 in every 5 kids experience mental illness, 9 Aussies lose their lives to suicide every day, and 30 kids in every classroom need mental health education.
