Dragons announce strong side for Charity Shield

Dragons coach Anthony Griffin has announced a near-full strength squad to face the Rabbitohs in the Charity Shield in Mudgee this Saturday.

All Stars quartet Tyrell Sloan, Zane Musgrove, Josh Kerr and Tyrell Fuimaono join the squad while captain Ben Hunt plays his first game of 2023 after sitting out the St Helens clash.

Aaron Woods, Jaydn Su'A and Jayden Sullivan also return after resting niggles last week while Francis and Michael Molo will also play their first footy of the year.

Josh Coric is out with a knee injury while Jack De Belin (calf) and Jack Bird (knee) will miss this game but are set to return in round two against the Titans.

Please note that the kick-off time has been pushed back to 4:20pm due to player safety concerns due to the forecast heat and humidity on Saturday.

Gates will now open from 1:50pm, with the NSW Cup trial to kick off at 10:30am and the NRL clash kicking off at 4:20pm.
