Dragons confirm Liddle signing

St George Illawarra have secured the services of Wests Tigers hooker Jacob Liddle ahead of the Dragons' 2023 NRL Telstra Premiership campaign.

Liddle, who was released from the final year of his Tigers contract to sign with the Red V, has played 75 first grade games to date following his 2016 NRL debut.

Complementing the squad's depth at hooker was a key contributor to Liddle's signing, according to Dragons general manager of football Ben Haran.

"The opportunity to bring Jacob to the Dragons was a good fit for all involved," Haran said.

"Hooker is a position we identified as needing further depth in and Jacob is a good prospect for the club given his age and experience."

Liddle is the Dragons' first external signings for season 2023.

Additional signings as well as the club's 2023 train and triallists will be announced in the coming weeks, ahead of mid-November's pre-season commencement.
