The Dragons would like to once again thank all Red V members for their unwavering loyalty and support throughout 2020.
The dedication of our members is appreciated by all players and staff at the club as the team ended their year with a win over the Melbourne Storm at Netstrata Jubilee Stadium in Round 20.

Jason Nightingale had a busy week judging our member memories entries. Congratulations to our top four who were rewarded with prizes.
First prize: 1x team signed 2020 Dragons home jersey
Attending the Red V Member breakfast and captain's run at WIN Stadium (2018). My wife had a very serious illness and had just been released from hospital that week and indeed still had a PICC line providing her with 24-hour antibiotic when we decided to go to the event. My wife, Elaine, was drawn to present Tyson Frizell with his jersey for the match the next day. Considering how ill she had been I was very proud to see her get up on the podium to do this.

It’s tough to pick just one, but it would either have to be meeting the players at the 2018 signing session, where Gareth Widdop declared his admiration for the moustache I was rocking at the time. The other memory would be the post-match function where Ben Creagh sang the team song with the members for the final time. It was a really special moment as it allowed myself and other Red V faithful to say thank you to him for what he’s done at the club.

Besides the 2010 Grand Final win, which I was lucky enough to attend, and would have be the best Red V memory ever, it would be when I was selected to present Jason Nightingale with his player jersey at a Red V member event. This was on August 1, 2015. I remember the very delicious breakfast served, and also the opportunity to mix with the players. I still have my photos from this day and I treasure them.

Getting engaged at the Centenary fan day on February 2, 2008. It was a complete surprise and very well planned by my now husband with the club. Jason Ryles (he was my favourite player and wasn't even supposed to be there that day but came to help out with the proposal) handed me a box after he signed my jersey I tucked it under my arm wondering why he'd given it to me, and he said I should open it, it was chocolates but in the middle, a box with a diamond in it, still not registering what was happening I turned around to my now husband to see him on one knee asking me to marry him! Earlier I had felt awful when a Dragons staff member had pulled us out of the autograph line to move to the front as I didn't want to queue jump all the other members, only to find out later they all knew what was happening, I was the only one in the dark! It will always be one of the best days of our lives and the perfect way for my husband to propose to me, as a lifelong Dragons fan, even our wedding was red and white themed! The photo of the proposal is still on our fridge to treasure and look at every day.

Participate in the game day half-time activation
These two members were randomly selected to take part in a goal kicking activity during half-time of our Round 20 match against the Storm. First place took home a $200 merchandise voucher and second place received a $75 merchandise voucher! Both participants also took home the footballs they used in the activity.
