The Dragons take the field for the final time in 2019 against the Gold Coast Titans on their home ground. Take a look back at three of the best Dragons performances against the Titans on the road.

Round 1. Sunday, March 18, 2007
Suncorp Stadium, Brisbane

Despite 42,000 people turning up to cheer on the Gold Coast in their first-ever NRL game, the Dragons were too strong for a late Titans comeback.

Their first game was moved from the Gold Coast to Suncorp Stadium to accommodate the large demand for tickets to witness the Titans' arrival in the NRL. But the 2007 Dragons side captained by Ben Hornby and Jason Ryles, spoilt the party by jumping out to a 20-6 lead.

The Titans rallied and stormed back into the contest largely thanks to a 12-point haul from Chris Walker (two tries, two goals).

But the full-time siren sounded with the home side two points short, and the Dragons leaving the Titans winless in the NRL.

Round 3. Sunday, March 25, 2018
Clive Berghofer Stadium, Toowoomba

A horror start from the Titans led to the Dragons scoring with just one minute elapsed before the floodgates well and truly opened.

The Dragons scored a total of nine tries, with four coming in the first half and five in the final 40 minutes. Both Matt Dufty and Tim Lafai picked up hat-tricks with Paul Vaughan, Gareth Widdop and Nene McDonald rounding out the try scorers.

However, the match was in the balance at 16th minute with the Titans only trailing 10-8 following a try and two conversions, all from Michael Gordon. But three tries before the half was out gave the Dragons a comfortable 26-8 lead at the break.

In what was a designated Titans home game, the sea of red and white jerseys said otherwise as they watched the Dragons blow out the score line much to the Red V faithful's delight.

St George Illawarra Dragons 19 defeated Gold Coast Titans 6
Round 6. Friday, April 16, 2010
Robina Stadium, Gold Coast

The Dragons and the Gold Coast hit the ground running in 2010, both only dropping a single match heading into their Round 6 clash.

A 21,000 strong crowd were in attendance to meet the Dragons who were looking to maintain their place on top of the ladder. The first 40 minutes reflected the quality of both sides, with the only points coming through a Matt Cooper try midway through the half.

The six-nil lead didn't last long into the second half, with the Titans finding the scoreboard through Michael Henderson before Preston Campbell added the extras.

But the Dragons showed the standard they would produce all season by scoring two tries in the latter stages of the match. Jamie Soward put the icing on the cake with a field goal.
