Illawarra will be looking to return to the winner's circle when they face the Wyong Roos at Morrie Breen Oval, Kanwal on Sunday.

Illawarra are coming off a narrow 21-14 loss to Intrust Super Premiership leaders the New Zealand Warriors and will be looking to bounce back against the Wyong Roos.

The Roos themselves will be desperate to turn things around after suffering a heavy 32-10 loss to the Penrith Panthers.

Powerhouse forward Luciano Leilua is happy with the way he has started the season but admits he is still learning his trade.

Leilua also believes his side needs to become a more consistent football team moving forward, to reflect last season's success.

"Everything is going well, I just think we need to be more consistent," Leilua said.

"I also think we need to make sure we are winning and putting in better performances to back up from last year's premiership winning season.

"I am still learning and I am working hard to get selected every week. I enjoy training with the NRL squad and I am grabbing as much information as I can," he added.

"Training with blokes like Russell Packer and Leeson Ah Mau has been really good for me."
