St George Illawarra Dragons centre Euan Aitken is out to prove the doubters wrong in the club's Round 1 clash against the Penrith Panthers this Saturday afternoon at UOW Jubilee Oval, Kogarah.

Aitken discussed his thoughts on the Dragons' new-look attacking structure and the influence fullback Josh Dugan will have on the team.

"The Dragons are out to prove people wrong especially against the Panthers who are one of the favourites of the competition," Aitken said.

"It will be good to go out and get a win against them."
