St George Illawarra Dragons new-recruit Jacob Hind is proud to have fulfilled a childhood dream by signing for the Club.
Hind agreed to terms on a one-year contract during the off-season having most recently been part of the Illawarra Cutters squad which won both the NSW Cup Premiership and NRL State Championship last season.

The prop, who had been part of the Cutters system for the past three seasons, admits he is focused on learning all he can within his new surroundings and admits he is determined to make the most of the opportunity.
“I moved down here three years ago from Tweed Heads and have always been a Dragons fan since I was a kid which makes signing that little bit sweeter for me,” said Hind.
“When you come down here you’re not too sure what to expect and there are a few more blokes vying for a spot than first expected.
“It took a little time to improve my game over these past three years and I guess this is reward for hard work and I’m really happy to be here.
“I’ve become that little bit bigger, stronger and faster over the past three seasons and had to get used to the systems of play.

“I previously didn’t play at either U20 or U18 levels in any systems so I also had to get used to the rigours of training and adapting to a professional environment which was really good.
“I am taking this opportunity to continue improving my game anywhere I can and importantly defensively so I am lucky there is a wealth of knowledge here for me to tap into.”
