St George Illawarra Dragons new-recruit Paul Vaughan is intent on repaying the faith shown to by his new team following the commencement of pre-season.
The three-time NSW Country Origin representative (2014-16) arrives at the Club on a three-year contract having previously been under contract with the Canberra Raiders where he played 85 NRL games.

The Gungahlin Bulls junior, who can play throughout the forward-pack, notes that a fresh start were amongst the reasons for his departure from the nation’s capital and that he has quickly embraced the Red V and everything it stands for both on and off the field.
The Italy Azzuri international has indicated he hopes to establish himself amongst, what he believes is, a formidable Dragons forward-pack and is relishing whatever challenges comes his way.
“I’m very grateful to be here and take this opportunity the Dragons have given me with both hands,” said Vaughan.
“The forward-pack that the Dragons have here is unreal and I’m really looking forward to getting stuck in and really forcing myself into that forward-pack.
“I thought my time was up at Canberra and thought it best that I move on.
“With that I thought the Dragons would be the best fit for me to take my career forward and to re-establish myself as a player.
“The Dragons are a very successful and traditional club with a great fan base who are vocal and passionate and I hope to help the Club back to being a Premiership-force.
“My goals in the meantime this pre-season is to become as strong fit as I can and get myself in the best shape possible for the new season.
