The St George Illawarra Dragons will visit Best You Can Be schools at Batemans Bay, Mogo and Moruya on the South Coast this week.

Dragons Community staff will head into classrooms and explore this week’s Dragons Diary focus of the week: Be kind to the environment.

This week we would like to highlight two very important dates on the calendar in regards to raising awareness around Mental Health, which Dragons staff have been exploring with local schools in programs such as AWHARE, Dream Believe Achieve and Best You Can Be.

This Thursday, September 8 is 'R U OK Day' whilst Saturday, September 10 is 'World Suicide Prevention Day'.

In addition headspace Wollongong and Lifeline South Coast to mark World Suicide Prevention Day, as we walk Out of the Shadows and Into the Light.

Suicide is the leading cause of death for Australians under the age of 44.

Join us to help raise awareness, remember those lost to suicide, and unite in a commitment to prevent further deaths by suicide.

The headspace Wollongong Youth Reference Group is organising this walk in Wollongong to raise awareness about suicide prevention, help break down stigma and encourage important conversations in our community with a few Dragons staff attending the event.
