Gold Coast Titans

The Titans too are coming off their respective bye round after dropping two straight games to the New Zealand Warriors and Canberra Raiders.

One of the things that Head Coach Neil Henry will be hoping to solidify is his sides defence, after they have allowed the third most missed tackles this season (517), including 63 in their last two games.

Meanwhile, the Titans will be boosted by the return of halfback Ash Taylor and fullback David Mead, a worrying sign for an attack that has averaged just shy of 24 points per game in their last seven matches.

Head To Head

The Dragons and Titans have been hard to separate over the last couple of years, with four of the last six games being decided by two points or less, including a 19-18 victory at Cbus Super Stadium, Robina last season.

The Dragons have also won 11 of their 16 starts against the Titans, including four of their last six, and five of seven all time outside of Queensland.

Quotes

“With eight games to go, we want to win as many as we can but we can't look too far ahead. Although it's a shame for Parramatta (losing their competition points), it presents us with an opportunity to make sure we can consolidate a spot." - Jason Nightingale

“(The Titans) have proved a lot of people wrong. They are only sitting two points out of the eight… so it’s a really important game when you look at the context.” - Paul McGregor
