The St George Illawarra Dragons will travel to defend the Alex McKinnon Cup against the Newcastle Knights at Hunter Stadium, Newcastle on Saturday.

Head Coach Paul McGregor has only made one change to the line-up which defeated the Melbourne Storm 20-10 last round, with prop Dunamis Lui replacing second-rower Tariq Sims, who is unavailable for the fixture, on the interchange.

However, second-rower Tyson Frizell, who has completed his commitments with the NSW Blues State of Origin team, will undergo an assessment later on before a decision is made on his availability.

The Dragons will look to continue their incredible form over the last dozen years against the Knights, having won nine of their past 10 fixtures against their upcoming opponents at the venue.

Newcastle Knights

The Knights are presently positioned at the bottom of the table and enter the encounter rested following on from their designated Bye Round.

The Knights have been boosted by the return of centre Peter Mata’utai, who departed the Red-and-Whites earlier on in the season, while Robbie Rochow takes his places on the interchange bench after returning from a fractured arm.
