Illawarra Cutters prop Jacob Hind is enjoying his playing opportunities ahead of the fixture against the Wyong Roos at WIN Stadium, Wollongong on Saturday.

The Cutters were defeated 22-10 by the Mt Pritchard Mounties in a tough encounter last round but will be looking to bounce-back in the first of three grade games at the venue.

Hind is aware of the big task ahead of his team in getting back to winning ways but believes the previous round’s tussle will work in favour of the home side.

Hind missed the pre-season due to surgery and has been enjoying the healthy competition with teammates as they fight for spots within the seventeen.

“I’ve definitely been enjoying my footy this season as after having surgery and missing the pre-season, it was about trying to get a run and cement a spot in the side,” said Hind

“I feel like I've done that now, and it’s helping my footy a lot.

“There is a great feeling around the Club at the moment and Head Coach Jason Demetriou has brought a lot of confidence to the playing group.

“It was a tough game against Mounties, but I think they are the games you want to be a part of.

“Although we didn't get the win, we played well.

"This week will be no different, it's another challenge back at home and I know motivation won't be an issue for the squad.”
