St George Illawarra Dragons National Youth Competition team Head Coach Mat Head reflects on his ANZAC Day Cup moment ahead of the fixture against the Sydney Roosters at Allianz Stadium, Moore Park on Monday.

The Wagga Wagga-native was part of the memorable team which clinched a last-gasp 26-24 win over the Roosters in the 2005 fixture.

The Roosters were ahead 24-20 on the scoreboard with only three minutes remaining until the final whistle.

Yet, this did not bother Head, who was playing halfback for the fixture, as he chipped and regathered the ball before firing a cut-out ball for centre Matt Cooper to lock scores.

From there, Head slotted the conversion from the side line to gift his team the victory.

"I never got to win a competition or anything like in the game but that's a very special moment in my career that I got to achieve."
