The St George Illawarra Dragons would like to provide our loyal Red V Members and Partners with a further update on the Club's Governance review.
Further to the previous update to Members and Partners regarding the Club’s Governance review (Tuesday, April 12), the process is yet to be complete and contrary to media speculation, there has been no change in the Club’s present ownership structure.
In relation to WIN Corporation specifically, they have on Wednesday, April 20 released the below as a general media statement.
“WIN has been a supporter of the St George Illawarra Dragons and the Illawarra Steelers before them for the past 34 years.
"Whilst WIN has entered into discussions with the NRL and the St George Illawarra Dragons joint venture partners, reports of an agreement having been reached are premature and commentary about the terms of any agreement are, at this stage, just speculation.
“We will make no further comment until a resolution, either way, is reached between parties.”
As is always the case at the Dragons, with any major decisions, the Club will keep stakeholders informed, at an appropriate time.
