Illawarra Cutters Head Coach Jason Demetriou believes an attitude adjustment is required ahead of the clash against the Penrith Panthers at WIN Stadium, Wollongong on Sunday.

Demetriou was both annoyed and disappointed with the way his team prepared and presented themselves in their 24-12 loss to the North Sydney Bears last round.

The Head Coach also believes his side underestimated the opposition and was impressed by the enthusiasm the visitors displayed.

Demetriou is of the opinion that his side can take a leaf out of the Bear’s book as they prepare for this weekend’s clash against competition heavyweights the Panthers.

“We’ve got to be better than that” said Demetriou .

“The preparation in the shed wasn’t as intense or as focused as it should have been.

“As a group, we’ll learn from that, and we need to prepare to go to battle every week.

“I think we underestimated Norths and they came here with a really good game plan and played with good enthusiasm and aggression.

“It rattled us.

“We’ve shown already when our attitude is right and were playing with the enthusiasm and aggression that’s required, we’re a quality football side. “
