The St George Illawarra Dragons Junior Representative teams will only have the Illawarra Steelers in action as the season continues on Saturday.
The Steelers Harold Matthews Cup (U16) and SG Ball (U18) teams will be aiming to keep their undefeated record in tact against the Central Coast Centurions at WIN Stadium, Wollongong on Saturday.
The Steelers Harold Matthews Cup team followed their opening round 32-8 win over the North Sydney Bears with a 20-20 draw with the St George Dragons last week.
The Centurions have suffered defeat in their first two matches against the traditionally strong Parramatta Eels and Canterbury-Bankstown Bulldogs Junior Representative teams and Coach Adam Blake is under no illusions about their upcoming encounter.
“The Centurions have faced two very tough opponents in their first two matches, and we were far from our best last week against St George," said Liggins.
"We need to concentrate on improving our own game, being far more consistent with the footy, and the result will look after itself."
The Steelers SG Ball team are also undefeated after solid wins against the Bears (42-10) and Dragons (38-0).
“We had a pleasing win last week, but Central Coast will be desperate for victory after two losses thus far," said Team Manager Daniel Perkiss.
"Skill-wise and fitness-wise we’re pretty impressed with our boys, but the Centurions will be hard to beat – they’re a tough side."
Gates one at 1.00pm with the Harold Matthews Cup match scheduled for 3.00pm and the SG Ball at 4.30pm.
The St George Junior Representative teams have been provided a Bye Round.
