St George Illawarra Dragons forward Mike Cooper has rejoined the squad following a 13 week stint in the UK on international duty for England.

Cooper made his international debut against France in a warm up game ahead of the 3 game series against New Zealand.

"It was amazing, it's something you always want to do as a kid. It kind of hits home when you are standing there singing the national anthem," Cooper said.

The English forward has returned to a new look squad and is confident that this group can build on last year's efforts.

"We've got the squad, we've got the depth, we've got a good culture and better facilitites so there is no reason why we shouldn't be up there and doing better than we did last year," Cooper said.
