St George Illawarra Dragons Assistant Coach Ian Millward has shared his thoughts on the completed first phase of first-grade pre-season training.

Millward, who additionally oversees the Illawarra Cutters, admits that the atmosphere within the squad and amongst the coaching staff has been harmonious and amongst the best preparations he has experienced.

Millward also revealed some of the criteria involved in recruiting players as well as providing valuable insight into what English Super League imports Tyrone McCarthy (Hull KR), Adam Quinlan (St Helens) and Mose Masoe (St Helens) will each bring to the squad.
