The local Albion Park Oak Flats Eagles junior is in the midst of his second season in the first-grade squad and is keen to add to his tally of three first-grade games to date.

The Junior Kangaroos is aware of the stiff competition he faces in international duo Gareth Widdop (England) and Benji Marshall (New Zealand) but knows his hard work will soon reap rewards.
“My goal is to play a few more first-grade games but there are still a couple of class players in front of me,” said Hutchison.
“Hopefully my opportunity will come so that I can notch a few continuously in a row and build off where I left last season.
“I don’t think it is a matter of simply trying to dethrone Gareth or Benji as both are world-class international players but I am hopeful that my time will come.
“I am lucky enough to be learning off both players as they offer a wealth of experience as do the other senior players within the ranks.
“There have been a fair few players who have arrived to the Club, especially in the forward-pack where there are a few big bodies.
“It will be good having them out there for us come game time but it hasn’t been fun trying to tackle them during the pre-season so far!”
