The St George Illawarra Dragons will be holding invitation-only trials for their respective St George Dragon Harold Matthews Cup (U16) and SG Ball Cup (U18) squads at Jubilee Oval, Kogarah on Saturday.

These trials are a great opportunity for the invited players hoping to make their mark in Junior Representative football to showcase their talents in front of Dragons Selectors.

The Dragons Harold Matthews Cup trial will take place at 9.00am which will be followed by the SG Ball Cup trial at 11.00am.

The trials conducted are invitation only to maximize the time each player gets to impress the selectors in their own preferred playing position.

The majority of invitations have been sent to local St George Dragons players in an effort to keep alive the heritage of players from their own local area playing for their local team.

In addition, players from other districts who have been performing well have also been sent invitations.

From these trials the Dragons are aiming to have approximately 30 players selected into the train-on squads for both the Harold Matthews Cup and SG Ball Cup teams.

This is a very exciting time for the Dragons as they attempt to build up their junior development and continue to improve on last year's efforts.
