St George Illawarra Dragons centre Dylan Farrell admits he will be good to go for the penultimate regular season clash against the Gold Coast Titans at Cbus Super Stadium, Robina on Sunday.

The local Culburra Dolphins junior made his return to the park in last week’s match against the Panthers after being sidelined with a back injury which saw him miss the two away games against the New Zealand Warriors and Brisbane Broncos.

Farrell, 24, believes there is no room for complacency against the second-last placed Titans and knows the Red-and-Whites will have to bring their A-game to handle the quality opposition.

“I missed the two away games, I was in camp with the team and was pretty disappointed not to play but I’m very happy to have been back out there against the Panthers, especially since it was in Wollongong for our last home game,” said Farrell.

“The medical staff are great here so they let me monitor the back injury in terms of pain, throughout the game I was fine, start of the week I’ll be off doing cardio and by the end of the week I’ll be good to go against the Titans.

“It was good to have the weekend off to spend with family, we obviously had ten days away in camp so it was awesome to have those days to relax.

“The Titans played really well against Canberra and every team wants to finish strong at the back-end of the year.

“They’re at home so I’m sure they’re going to be on their game and we’re going to have to bring ours.

“They’ve got quality players all over the park, they’ve just been a bit unlucky this year but we will need to stop their go forward in the middle and off the back of their young halves who have been playing with a bit of spice this year.

“They’ve got young James Roberts who I played with at Souths and he’s a freak talent so the boys on the left edge will have to be on their game to handle him.”
