St George Illawarra Dragons winger Justin Hunt admits his side is taking it one game at a time as they look towards their clash against the Brisbane Broncos at Suncorp Stadium, Brisbane on Friday.

The Tugun Seahawks junior was a late call-up for the game against the New Zealand Warriors in which he scored the opening try, and is looking to continue his form this weekend.

Hunt, 26, believes the combination of youth and experience within the squad is strong enough to put the Red-and-Whites in a good position heading into the finals.

“I got the late call-up against the Warriors and I really enjoyed it, it was good to calm the nerves with that try to open the scoring,” said Hunt.

“It’s a really big thing, keeping a team to nil, I don’t think I’ve ever done that as a player in a team so I’m really proud of the boys.

“I’m sure a few of the Dragons fans will travel up to Brisbane for the game so it should be a big crowd and I’m looking forward to it.

“The Broncos have had a couple of back-to-back losses so they’re going to come out firing.

“They had a great start to the year and we’re going to have to be on our game to get the win.

“We’ve got a few experienced guys which we look to, as well as plenty of youth so hopefully those young guys can bring a lot of energy.

“We’ve got to take it one game at a time and put our best foot forward every week.”
